IN DETAIL

Frequently Asked Questions

Bike Matrix currently runs compatibility checks across 18 active logic categories – covering drivetrain components (chain, cassette, crankset, bottom bracket), braking systems (pads, rotors, calipers, levers, brake systems) and wheels (QR axles, thru-axles, tyres, front wheels, rear wheels, and wheelsets). The system is expanding toward 30 categories. Compatibility is always assessed in the context of the specific bike – not just 'does this part type fit this other part type' but 'does this part fit the interacting and surrounding components'.

What logic categories does Bike Matrix cover?

The Bike Lounge is the customer-facing bike profile tool within Bike Matrix. Once a customer selects their bike, they can save it to their Bike Lounge for future sessions – so they don't need to re-select it on return visits. They can also update their bike's spec if they've changed components since buying it. The Bike Lounge turns a one-time compatibility check into a persistent, returnable bike identity – benefiting both the customer's experience and the retailer's retention.

What is the Bike Lounge?

Continuously. New bike models, new component releases, and updated brand data are added on an ongoing basis by the Bike Matrix team. Retailers always access the current database – there is no versioning lag on the retailer's side. As long as bikes are being designed and manufactured, we'll be updating Bike Matrix.
