Public Code of Conduct & Neutrality Charter

Version: 1.0 | June 2026

Operational Mandate: To maintain absolute system integrity, transparency, and data independence as the
global compatibility layer for the cycling industry.

1. Purpose & Core Mandate
Bike Matrix operates as a neutral B2B technology infrastructure utility. Our purpose is to empower the global
bicycle ecosystem to verify component compatibility with absolute, unassailable confidence. To achieve this,
we enforce strict boundaries separating our data processing, system logic, and commercial operations from
any market conflicts of interest.

2. Technical Disaggregation: Data Enrichment vs. Compatibility Logic
To ensure absolute visibility into our system operations, stakeholders must distinguish between our two
independent technology layers:

  • Data Enrichment Engine: We collect bike specifications and component blueprints from published

manufacturer technical documentation and reliable public sources. This unstructured data is
systematically researched, scrutinized, and validated manually by qualified mechanical industry experts
trained to isolate exact technical configurations.

  • Compatibility Logic Layer: Our logic is entirely separate from the data ingestion loop. It executes a

deterministic workflow of complex logical arguments that programmatically cross-reference the physical
attributes of a component against surrounding parts within a standard or customized Bill of Materials
(BoM).

3. The Data Rectification Protocol (The Attribute Rule)
Component compatibility is an objective, mechanical truth rooted in physical attributes: size, shape, type, style,
connection, and mechanical/electronic actuation.

  • Brand Contribution: Bicycle and component manufacturers hold the absolute right and capability to

contribute to our understanding of their products' attributes. We welcome technical alignment to ensure
our database reflects precise manufacturing realities.

  • The Mechanic Consensus: Bike Matrix holds sole responsibility for applying a standardized system of

defining physical attributes to ensure compatibility outcomes to which 10 out of 10 professional
workshop mechanics would universally agree.

  • Absolute Objectivity: No brand, manufacturer, or retailer can influence, pick, or choose which

third-party brands are or are not compatible with their products. Compatibility is dictated purely by the
physical geometry and mechanical interaction rules of the components.

4. Real-Time Processing & Continuous System Integrity

  • Live Edge Queries: Bike Matrix compatibility checks are always processed live. We check

compatibility at a component level based on the most up-to-date bike build documentation available.

  • Immediate Global Rectification: Because our ecosystem is centralized and live, any verified

correction made to a bicycle record, component asset, or compatibility logic argument takes immediate
effect across every live B2B integration globally. There are no delayed local synchronization cycles.

5. Open Access, Commercial Integrity, and Non-Exclusivity

  • Universal Accessibility: Bike Matrix operates as a transparent, paid subscription service open to any

retailer, workshop, or software builder who maintains active credentials.

  • The Independence Rule: To safeguard our positioning as an unbiased global industry standard, our

core compatibility data engine remains fundamentally non-exclusive. No single market participant can
purchase exclusive access to lock out competitors from our system baseline. Premium enterprise
structures are restricted to custom UI deployment speeds, platform co-branding, and priority
onboarding integration queues.

  • Market Neutrality: We do not participate in buying or selling physical components or bicycles, nor do

we deploy affiliate marketplace links. We do not alter the competitive landscape or pick winners; we
provide the clean infrastructure for others to trade confidently.

6. Data Anonymization, Confidentiality, and Governance
We treat data privacy and commercial intelligence as a core security boundary:

  • Merchant Isolation: Retailer-specific transactional and conversion information is restricted exclusively

to the originating retailer.

  • Brand Isolation: Component-brand-specific transaction and velocity metrics are restricted exclusively

to the originating brand owner.

  • Macro Aggregation: All broader aftermarket behavior data is completely anonymized and aggregated

to regional levels via our Post-Sale Intelligence platform.

  • Transparent Demand Tracking: To facilitate smart industry forecasting, bicycle selections are

intentionally non-anonymized. Retailers retain full visibility into which bike profiles are actively being
"shopped" on their individual storefronts, and component brands can track which bike models are
actively seeking their specific replacement parts.

7. Platform Security & Intellectual Property Custody

  • Active Access Security: Live API keys are systematically restricted to verified, active subscribers.

Software developers can access a restricted staging key environment to test applications against a
limited database footprint.

  • Public Documentation: Our technical documentation is fully public. We actively encourage developers

and software providers (POS, Workshop, ERP) to innovate and build custom interfaces around our
engine.

  • The Anti-Caching / Storage Mandate: To guarantee absolute accountability, consumer safety, and

data currency, our contracts strictly prohibit clients from storing or caching our compatibility results.
Bike Matrix retains total, centralized ownership of the live output to ensure that every "green tick"
displayed anywhere in the world is accurate to the microsecond.
